Inspirations Salon

  • Hair salon
  • Full redesign
  • Booking-first
  • Modern platform

We replaced Inspirations Salon's previous home page, shown from a January 2026 archived capture, with a booking-first site rebuilt on a modern, fast platform.

What changed

Four parts of the job.

01LAYOUT

Layout & structure

The old home page was one long fixed-width scroll: a hero, Why Choose, a three-step scheduling explainer, testimonials, a top-rated block, and a 2022 blog slider. Links sat only in the footer; no header menu showed in the capture. The new site keeps a header with a six-item nav, the phone number, and Book Now, and splits the rest into Services, Team, Gallery, Journal, and Visit. Address, hours, and a map live on Visit. None of those were on the old home page.

02BRAND

Branding

The old site set the salon name in red serif type over a grayscale portrait, with red and black pill buttons and red icons. The redesign uses a lowercase "inspirations salon" wordmark over a full-bleed video of the salon, Playfair Display and Karla, and a quieter white, gray, and beige palette.

03BOOKING

UX & booking

The old page repeated "Book Appointment Here" and "See Our Services," and said staff would confirm bookings by email. The new site books from the header Book Now and from per-service Book buttons. On a phone, call and book are one tap. The contact form is protected.

04TECH

Tech & performance

The previous site was harder to keep fast and secure. The new one is built with modern web technology for speed and reliability. Secure by default: HTTPS everywhere, hardened headers, and protected forms.

Case study

Professional services firm

  • Regional business
  • AI-assisted pentest and hardening
  • AI recon
  • Hardening

The public site failed basic checks: weak TLS and security-header grades, mail that still allowed spoofing, and outdated or exposed paths. An AI-assisted pass mapped the issues, a person verified each one, and then we fixed what held up.

Representative engagement. Client details and figures anonymized and illustrative.

What we did

The pass, in order.

01RECON

AI-assisted recon

An AI-assisted pass mapped the public site from the outside and proposed 23 issues: 4 critical, 7 high, and 12 medium or low.

02REVIEW

Human verification

A person checked every candidate before it counted, and set aside anything that did not reproduce.

03TLS

TLS, HTTPS, and HSTS

Served the site over HTTPS and hardened HSTS.

04HEADERS

Security headers

Set Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options, and Referrer-Policy.

05DNS

DNS and email authentication

Published SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

06PATCH

Plugins and dependencies

Patched outdated plugins and dependencies the scan flagged.

07WAF

WAF and rate limiting

Put a web application firewall and rate limits in front of the site.

08ACCESS

Admin and login

Closed exposed admin and login pages and tightened how they are reached.

09BACKUP

Backups

Checked that backups could restore the site.

Case study

Regional IT services provider

  • Help desk
  • AI voice agent
  • 24/7 answers
  • Human handoff

Calls waited on a person, and after hours they waited until morning. An AI voice agent now answers at once, finishes the common requests, and hands the rest to someone with the context already written down.

Representative engagement. Client details and figures anonymized and illustrative.

What we did

The call, in order.

01ANSWER

Answer the line

The agent picks up every call, including nights and weekends, and starts speaking in under a couple of seconds.

02RESET

Common requests

It walks callers through password resets and account status checks without opening a ticket first.

03BOOK

Scheduling

It books, moves, and confirms routine appointments while the caller is still on the line.

04TICKET

Tickets

Anything it cannot finish becomes a ticket with the caller’s words and the steps already tried.

05HANDOFF

Human handoff

When a person should take over, the agent passes the call with a short brief so the caller does not start again.

Local professional practice

  • Small business
  • AI personal assistant
  • Inbox
  • Owner approval

The owner was the inbox, the calendar, and the collections desk. An assistant now sorts mail, drafts follow-ups and invoice reminders, and leaves a morning brief. Nothing is sent until the owner approves it.

Representative engagement. Client details and figures anonymized and illustrative.

What we did

The day, in order.

01INBOX

Inbox triage

Each morning the inbox is sorted into what needs a reply, what can wait, and what is noise.

02CALENDAR

Calendar and scheduling

It proposes times from the owner’s calendar and holds a slot only after the owner agrees.

03FOLLOW

Follow-ups

Draft follow-ups are ready the same hour, instead of the next day.

04INVOICE

Invoice reminders

Unpaid invoices are flagged, and a reminder is drafted in the owner’s voice.

05BRIEF

Daily brief

A short morning brief lists what changed, what is waiting, and what needs a decision.

06APPROVE

Owner approval

Every outbound note stays a draft until the owner approves the send.

Results

The week, before and after.

Illustrative figures. Not a report from a named client.

  • Same hour Follow-up drafts

Case study

Local service business

  • Home services
  • Lead capture and follow-up
  • Qualification
  • Booking

Inquiries from the site sat for hours. A chat and the form now ask a few qualifying questions, reply at once, file the lead, and offer a time to book.

Representative engagement. Client details and figures anonymized and illustrative.

What we did

The lead, in order.

01ASK

Qualify the request

The site chat and the form ask what the job is, where it is, and when it is needed.

02REPLY

Instant reply

A first reply goes out in under a minute, while the person is still on the page.

03FILE

Client record

The lead is written into the client list with the answers attached, so nobody retypes them.

04BOOK

Booking

When the request is a fit, the next step is a booked consult rather than another email.

Results

The reply, before and after.

Growing software company

  • Early-stage product
  • Cloud and operations cleanup
  • Infrastructure
  • Releases

Releases were a weekly event, someone had to watch them, and the cloud bill kept climbing. We described the infrastructure as code, made a release an ordinary day, and watched the paths customers actually use.

Representative engagement. Client details and figures anonymized and illustrative.

What we did

The cleanup, in order.

01DEFINE

Infrastructure as code

The servers, networks, and settings are described in code, so a change is reviewed before it runs.

02SHIP

Routine releases

A pipeline builds, tests, and releases on every accepted change, without a maintenance window.

03WATCH

Monitoring

Alerts sit on the paths customers use, so a quiet failure is visible before they write in.

04SPEND

Cost

Idle capacity came out, and what remained was sized to the real load.

Results

The bill, before and after.

Illustrative figures. Not a report from a named client.

  • None Planned downtime
